A Little Bit About Me

Education:

B.S. in Elementary Education from Eastern Illinois University (Go Panthers!)

B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from University of Mississippi (Go Rebs!)

M.S. in Speech and Hearing Science from Tennessee State University (Go Tigers!)

Experience:

My career began teaching Kindergarten in Illinois for four years and First Grade for one year in Tennessee. I returned to college in 2010 to pursue my degree in Speech Pathology.  While in school studying to become a Speech Pathologist, I worked in Early Intervention. I was a Special Instructor providing therapy to children birth to age three in their homes.  During graduate school at Tennessee State University my practicum experiences included a private pediatric clinic, Cordova Elementary School, and a Skilled Nursing Facility. I have been a Speech Pathologist with Desoto County Schools since 2015.
