About the Teacher/Welcome Msg
My name is Kim Wood. I am married to Tim Wood, he is a Lt. with the Southaven Police Department. We have one wonderful daughter, Anna Madison. She is an 11th grader at DCHS. I have 1 dog, Teddy.
I absolutely LOVE my job!! I have been teaching for 21 years. While attending the University of Mississippi I also received my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. My family is a HUGE Ole Miss fan.

If you could send any of the following items it would be greatly appreciated! Tickets will be given for each item donated. The students can use tickets to purchase coupons in the classroom. We will use the items throughout the year.
- Office Max, Wal-Mart, Books-A-Million, Michaels, Targer, or Knowledge Tree gift cards
- scrapbook paper
- white card stock
- colored card stock
- color copy paper
- post it notes
- books (non-fiction, fiction, kid magazines)
- M&M's for AR
- candy for our treat bucket
- Scotch Thermal Laminating Pouches (wal-mart)
- HP 63 black and color ink
Please read the ABC's of 2nd grade . This has a wealth of information.
Please remember to check the website regularly. This will be our main source of communication and I will be adding information as I get it.
**Remind them of morning procedures. They WILL be moving clips starting Monday, August 22.
**If THEY do not have their homework, 5 pts. will be taken off. This is VERY important!!!! They will start out with a 100 in each subject.
**Read directions CAREFULLY on each paper!!! I will take off points or count it wrong if directions aren't followed.
**Please sign your child's planner NIGHTLY!! They will begin moving clips if this is not done. They are responsible for asking you to sign it.
Remember to correct papers with a D or F, SIGN and RETURN them to school. Blue graded paper folders will come home on Wednesdays.
