Carly Barton

Pre-K Special Education

I graduated from The University of Mississippi in 2016 with an Elementary Education degree and an endorsement in Special Education.

This will be my sixth year teaching. Three of those years were spent in the Tupelo Public School District teaching Kindergarten. I am so excited to be teaching Special Education as I have a passion for this field and have a lot of experience in it as well. While being a classroom teacher, I had experience with students on various levels of the Special Education Spectrum. I also have an nine year old son who is autistic.

I am originally from Coppell, Texas and moved to Tupelo, Mississippi in 2012. My family and I have recently relocated to Southaven in order to be closer to family and be apart of a larger metropolitan area. I have a son who is nine years old and attends Desoto Central Elementary. My husband works at Mattress Firm in Olive Branch. We also have a three year old puppy named Mila! We are so excited to be in Southaven and see all it has to offer! I am beyond thrilled to be apart of Desoto Central Primary and look forward to years to come!
