I went to the University of Mississippi where I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
Experience
Before I went back to college, I worked as a Special Education assistant with the Shelby County School system. I was placed in a functional skills classroom for three years at E.A. Harrold Elementary school in Millington, TN. When we moved back to DeSoto county in 2009, I began working as a kindergarten assistant at DeSoto Primary School. After two more years as an assistant, I returned to college to obtain my degree in Elementary Education. I taught K - inclusion at DCPS for two years, 1st grade for a year and this is my second year in 2nd grade.
Bio
In addition to being a teacher, I am also a wife and mother. My husband and I have been married for 22 years and have four children, one who has recently graduated from Gould's Academy and working at Salon 387 in downtown Memphis and three at Lewisburg High School. We are a very active family. My daughters play volleyball at Lewisburg High School and for Southern Storm Volleyball. My son plays football and runs track at Lewisburg High School.
